Tri-tip by itself is an amazing cut of beef. The Wagyu version kicks it up a few notches to an entirely different level. We'll keep the seasoning simple to focus on the star of the show with only salt and freshly ground black pepper.
On a hot grill cook each side for 1-2 minutes paying careful attention to not overcook the Wagyu. Due to the high fat content, it's easy to melt your dinner away. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Slice into thin strips and serve.
The Wagyu Tri-Tip goes exceptionally well with a full bodied Syrah or Malbec.
